My role as a guest preacher at Southside Bible Fellowship in Manchester, NH, continues throughout this fall. Here is the second sermon in the series they have asked me to preach: What is Prayer? It’s a real privilege to be a part of the preaching team and work through the basic doctrines of our faith together. I am encouraged by the congregation and hope that God will continue to hold them close and guide them while I am not there. This experience has given me a real burden for the Universal Church. We look at the larger doctrine of prayer in this sermon and then hone in on Jesus’ example in the Lord’s Prayer and enc with some practical application.
